About Us
The Groves family in Newcastle, Australia currently consists of Jack, Anthony, Kara & Lisa hence our nickname "JAKL". Our modest abode generally resembles a 'JAKL's Den' so the name was fitting!
The JAKL nickname also stuck because the description I found online (of a JACKAL) reads something like;
"A JAKL's most common social unit is that of a monogamous pair which defends its territory from others. The territory may be large enough to hold some young adults which stay with their parents until they establish their own territories. JAKL's may occasionally assemble in small packs, for example, to scavenge over a Christmas Dinner!!"
